RONNIE MCNEIR OF THE FOUR TOPS

MAC'S NEIGHBORHOOD

Hello Everyone,

Many of you may have heard me talk ReverbNation before and I wanted to throw my thoughts out there again. ReverbNation is an artist’s centric site that was set up to empower musicians.

Many people see it as competition to Myspace but I disagree, I see it as a companion to Myspace, especially for artists.

As an indie, unsigned artist who does not receive airplay with major broadcasters, we need all the help we can get from many sources.

In adittion to the many tools ReverbNation offers to Indie Artists, they will be starting a fair share program, coming in in July whereby artist ,will be awarded a percentage of ad revenue generated through ReverbNation. ( sounds like a plan to me. ...LOL)

To all my friends and fans, please take a look at my ReverbNation page, listen to the music, view a few pics and check out the Four Tops Tour schedule. Take a minute or two and listen to many of the artists that are members of Reverb(you can search by genre)….I know you will find new discoveries that will blow you away…and I’m betting (hoping and praying) that I will be one of them…LOL

Sign up for ReverbNation today. Add your name and email address to my fan base and mailing list and receive updates .

Thanks for your time,

Ronnie Mac

ReverbNation Launching More Online Tools for Musicians

ReverbNation is announcing an ad revenue sharing program for their artists, called “Fair Share”. The Fair Share program is set to launch in July 2007.

ReverbNation artists can now get 50% of the revenues generated by the ads displayed on their profile pages. This new feature obviously encourages artists to join the site and bring others with them, as they’ll self-promote their own profile’s content in hopes of earning more cash from the increased visibility. Ad revenue generated from the site will go into a pool each month, and the revenue is split amongst users based on their generated site activity.

The many tools that ReverbNation offer, including TunePaks, Fanreach and widgets, make self promotion easy for artists who have a presence on other social networks, websites, and blogs. ReverbNation is also launching a new dashboard for artists to see a snapshot of the activity across their personal page, widgets and fanreach. This new tool will be helpful for artists looking to improve their online campaign. The new dashboard feature is now live.

A new feature they will be launching in the future is the “Street Team” solution, allowing artists to create missions and attach widgets to these missions so activity and results can be automatically tracked. So if a street team member places a banner announcing a new single for that artist, the banner tracks the impressions and click-through rate for the duration of the mission, which will offer even more tools for the management of an artist’s online campaign.
